Beast Beneath the World

Mission #4 from Temple of Shadows on page 8

Fleeing through the tunnels beneath the temple, you begin to realize that the walls of this passageway have a strange texture... and are drippings with goo! Something's not right here. But there's no time to stop, you can hear the armies of the Fallen Shogun busting through the barricades behind! Pushing into the dark, you emerge into a living chamber, with sizzling acid pooled in depressed areas of the floor. You seem to have found your way into a living creature that resides deep underground, below the fortress. Who knows how long this beast has slumbered beneath the world. Stepping further into the room, the floor rumbles and the sound of the soldiers that were chasing you is replaced with the gurgle and roar of rushing liquid! In the distant shadows behind, you can make out a roiling tidal wave of caustic acidic bile hurdling toward you. It's time to find a way out of here... any way out, and fast!
